Everyone
can master it!
Shlomo Eitan believes that
every student is a star and can accomplish great things in learning. Shlomo’s 20
years of teaching experience has shown that his fun, enjoyable and logical
teaching approach has all of the components for success.
Gone is the drudgery of
memorization. Shlomo’s approach proves that learning Hebrew is not conceptually
difficult. Everyone can grasp it. Hebrew, with its uniqueness as The Holy Tongue
gives itself to clear, lucid presentations. You will see it, hear it, grasp it
and master it!
When learning
with Shlomo, English is allowed! (It is also Shlomo’s first language.) Adult
learners (and young adults) need a more cognitive approach to acquire a new
language. This requires solid answers in the student's native language first.
Many Hebrew
teachers focus on the so-called immersion method, which forces their
students to sink or swim. Unfortunately, most sink. Shlomo will make sure you
swim.
Shlomo will
not overload you with vocabulary! He will first teach you structure, only after
that, the words.
What does
learning "structure" mean? Certain parts of Hebrew must be mastered first in order
to move forward. Verb patterns, for example. Without a solid basis in these
patterns the student is either lost or stuck in a dead end in the language.
Structures put the student on the right path from the start and lead to
self-sufficiency down the road.
How long before you are speaking Hebrew?
A total beginner generally needs two to three
months, learning with Shlomo twice per week.
